Welcome to Mickeys Beach!

This is the place where we can all put aside our everyday cares and just let our hair down and have fun. If life is truly a beach, then Mickeys is the place to come for all-day coffee, drinks and casual foods, sundowners on a summer’s evening, stylish yet always informal après beach dining, music at Mickeys Beats, drinks and cocktails, take-out meals to eat with your fingers and with your feet in the sand, or maybe a Mickeys midnight pizza after working up an appetite on the dance floor.

On warm evenings, the terrace roof fully retracts for you to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over the Exe and Lyme Bay; but at those times when rain and wind batter our southwest coast, making us feel that the full might of the Atlantic is hitting our shores directly, then we can snuggle up and enjoy the drama of the view from behind weatherproof panoramic windows, inside in dry comfort and warmth.

And what a view, looking down the coast past Torquay to Berry Head and the wide open English Channel. There is no better position from which to enjoy the beauty of our southwest coast, a view often punctuated by the colourful dance of dozens of kite surfers in the sea directly before us, for this small patch of beach has become a centre for world champion kiters from Exmouth and beyond.

Fabulous, fresh, fun food

At Mickeys Beach you can literally ‘eat the view’ with local seafood, fish, meats, simply cooked over charcoal, all taking pride of place. Our food is fabulous, fresh and fun. Come here for the best pizzas in the southwest; for bowls of Teignmouth mussels gathered from the seas just in front of us; for Lyme Bay lobster thermidor, Lyme Bay scallops with seaweed butter, the catch-of-the-day or a ribeye or t-bone Red Ruby steak cooked to your liking over real charcoal.

Locally sourced

We source, celebrate and serve local foods. Similarly, our drinks are also sourced as locally as possible, including local and regional beers and ciders; Devon and English wines; UK spirits including local gins, rum and vodka. Our coffee comes from a small independent roaster in Cornwall.
